Losing weight is something that I’ve never really looked forward to, because I often fail at it. I’ve tried to use exercise and dieting programs before, but after a couple of days I just give up.   1. You only lose water weight

It is true that in the first week or so, people on low-carb diets lose a lot of water weight.

The glycogen stores in the muscles and liver go down and along with them the water they tend to hold on to.
